Maine’s on line rock station playing the rocking hits of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.

This station isn’t owned by some greedy national corporation or rich guy. THE REBEL is run by a poor ex-radio guy from his garage in the heart of eastern Maine. We’re not handcuffed by rigid programming. We play whatever the hell we want. And we’ll play whatever you tell us you want.

The Rebel is all about the music and local personality.

The workday will fly by when you’re on the Jet.

We start with a few cool 70’s tunes. We toss in a bunch of the best 80’s songs. We hand pick your favorites from the 90’s. And mix in the best of the new millennium. No ballads. No old rock. No rap or hip hop. And no repeating songs every hour or so. The perfect blend of more than 1,000 songs, and we bet you know the words to almost every one.

This is the Jet.

This is Maine Internet Radio, Maine’s online Alternative Rock Station.

At the Maine Internet Radio, we’re dedicated to playing the artists who got it all started: the Nirvanas, Pearl Jams and Soundgardens of the world. We’ve also got a good blend of harder stuff (like NIN, Metallica, Tool, Deftones), fun stuff (like Primus, Weezer, Gorillaz), some chill stuff (like Sublime, Bob Marley, Dave Matthews), some local stuff (like Rocktopus, Paranoid Social Club, Rustic Overtones) and some stuff you may not be as familiar with, but we think is pretty cool (like Big Sugar, Tom Waits, The Dead Weather).

The way 80’s Music should be.

Here’s what Mainely 80’s is all about: one great song from the 1980’s after another. And another. And another. Every once in awhile we’ll toss in one of your favorites from the 70’s too. Just because there are some darn good songs from that decade too. And we’ll add some trivia about the 80’s and what it was like here in the great state of Maine during that time. We’ll also have great local information, entertainment and contests.

Mainely 80’s- the way 80’s music should be.
